Mark King is the pastor of West Salem Baptist Church in Greene County, MS. An accomplished keyboardist, Mark has worked with artists all over the United States and in Germany, Italy, and Switzerland as an arranger, composer and performer. His piano and educational keyboard music is published by Warner Bros. and Alfred Publishing Company. Before answering the call to ministry, he worked as a school teacher and a freelance arranger/composer. His pop choral arrangements have been performed at prestigious competitions by award winning show choirs in Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles, and Orlando, FL. His show choir arrangements consistently receive Best Vocal and Best Instrumental Arrangement awards.
Happily married to Kristi (the world's most wonderful woman), Mark is the proud father of Tristan, Peyton, and Orin. He can't decide if he is a songwriter who preaches, or a preacher who writes songs. His children are most impressed by the summer he spent playing keyboard at Disneyworld in Orlando, FL, and they are really hoping he can turn his leverage into some personal time with Mickey Mouse. He is an avid horsemen and a lover of all things outdoors, and he is passionate about peanut butter sandwiches! As the founder and director of the Central American Mission Project, he is heavily involved in Hispanic ministry in Central America and in Mississippi.
